Peer Review Process
The Journal of Entrepreneurship and Business Sustainability (JEBS) follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and academic contribution of all submitted manuscripts.
Initial Screening
All submissions are reviewed by the editorial team to ensure they meet the journal’s scope and basic formatting requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be desk-rejected without external review.
Double-Blind Peer Review
Suitable manuscripts are sent to two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Both author and reviewer identities are anonymised to ensure an unbiased review. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s:
- Originality and relevance
- Theoretical and/or practical contribution
- Methodological rigour
- Clarity and structure
Reviewer Recommendations
Based on their evaluation, reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:
- Accept
- Minor revisions required
- Major revisions required
- Reject
Revision and Resubmission
Authors receiving revision requests must submit:
- A revised manuscript, and
- A response letter detailing how each reviewer comment was addressed
- Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation.
Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief, supported by the editorial team, makes the final decision based on reviewer feedback and the quality of revisions. Authors will be notified of the decision via email.
